Dragon Song

           A video game was born through exploration of sound manipulation via motion capture. “Sounds of the Sorcerer” was built with three main objectives in mind: 1. To create a novel game play experience while incorporating traditional video game visual feedback. 2. To force users to think adaptively and not instructionally. 3. To incorporate dance and sound as primary elements in the environment. The plot was inspired from the fantasy genre: “You are a warlock in training at the base of a mountain. An internally discordant nature spirit attempts to position itself harmoniously on our earth. As you tragically lose your sight to the power of the natural elements, you must understand your position as it relates to the earth and the spirit and harness the magic of your natural movements to successfully prevent disaster.”
